Our History

Steve Dunivan established Midwest Machine July 7, 2000. Our facility in Amarillo is conveniently located in the center of the Texas panhandle. Midwest Machine is dedicated to serving the beef, pork, dairy, and the manufacturing industry. Together, our employees have over 100 years of combined experience in the manufacturing and installation of equipment, custom machine design, and conveyor systems.

Since opening, Midwest Machine has become a leader in automation of the meat packing industry. We specialize in custom machine design, automation, welding, and fabrication.

Our 30,000 square foot facilities provides enough room for all of our state of the art equipment including:

  • Water Jet
  • CNC lathe and mill
  • Brake and Shear
  • Plasma cutter
  • Welders
  • Other equipment including a drill press, hand tools, etc.

Our employees have experience in the operation of all of the equipment in house. Most of our employees specialize in a certain area of our shop (programming, engineering, machining, welding, fabrication, etc.) to maximize efficiency. We are able to tackle almost any job brought to us quickly and efficiently. We pride ourselves in quality work and stand behind each job we complete.

Our main source of work comes from corporations like Cargill, Seaboard, Caviness, CHS, Bar S Foods, Affiliated Foods and many others. We often build conveyors, platforms and overhead rail systems, with several new projects in development. We strive to meet the demands of high performing plants and exceed expectations by increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and safeguarding employees with cost-saving equipment and machinery. We are revolutionizing the beef packing industry by developing and producing a variety of automated smart saws. For more information check out the Custom Machine Design tab located above.
